Former investment bankers who began their careers together 25 years ago at Morgan Stanley in London are now betting on the UK’s dominant shopping centres. The duo have made a name for themselves in just four years since founding their London-based real estate investment company Redical.
In 2021, the UK shopping centre market was defined by uncertainty. Vacancy rates dominated discussions. Institutional capital had withdrawn. Owners were under pressure. But Redical founders Mikko Syrjanen (pictured right) and Petteri Barman (pictured left) were quietly preparing to buy.
