The Liberty Romford, and its owner and operator, Redical, have committed to sponsoring Romford FC for the 2025/2026 football season, as Redical continues to invest in both the centre and its community.

As key kit sponsors, The Liberty Romford and Redical’s investment will contribute significantly to Romford FC’s day-to-day operation, allowing the football club to continue to rent the vital home match stadium at Barking FC. The sponsorship will also feed into the general functional costs, including FA fees, referee fees and training equipment.

Tom Stobbart, Centre Manager at The Liberty Romford, commented: “With deep roots in our community, Romford FC is a fundamental player in the town’s history, and we are proud to be the new sponsors of the club’s kit for this next season. Our sponsorship has been matched by The Liberty Romford’s owner and operator Redical, which is committed to the long-term evolution and success of both the centre and the community we serve. We wish Romford FC triumph in the 2025/2026 season, we’ll be cheering on from the crowd!”

Steve Gardener, Chairman of Romford FC, added: “Fostering partnerships across our town is vital for the future of our football club, for without our sponsors in the community there would be no Romford FC. Connecting with both The Liberty Romford and Redical is a key moment for us as a club, and we are pleased to have the backing of the destination at the heart of our town centre. A big thank you as always to all our sponsors this season.”

This announcement follows the recent news that The Liberty Romford has committed a major investment into the My Local Bobby (MLB) service across the town. Landlords of The Liberty Romford and The Brewery shopping centres have each pledged £50,000 to support and expand the initiative, doubling the number of Bobbies from two to four. This increased investment means Romford will now benefit from MLB coverage seven days a week, with four officers on duty on four of those days.
