Victoria Leeds, owned and operated by Redical, has announced that premium activewear brand Sweaty Betty is to relocate and recommit to a new site in Victoria Gate, following 11 years in the historic Victoria Quarter.

The brand’s recommitment to Victoria Leeds will see it move to an 835 sq ft space within the state-of-the-art Victoria Gate destination, showcasing its updated store concept which features joyful pops of colour throughout to provide an unarguably Sweaty Betty shopping experience.

The new store is set to open on 19 November, complementing Victoria Leeds’ growing portfolio of premium activewear brands, such as Alo Yoga and outdoor brand Finisterre.

Rachel Bradburn, Head of Leasing at Redical, said: “We are committed to ensuring the most popular health and wellness brands are represented at Victoria Leeds, providing shoppers with options that are aspirational, accessible and affordable. Following a fruitful 11-year relationship with Sweaty Betty at its previous location in Victoria Quarter, we are eagerly anticipating welcoming the brand to its new home in our ultra-modern and sleek Victoria Gate destination and continue what has been a hugely successful partnership in the city.”

Andrea Gray, VP Global Stores, Wholesale & 3P at Sweaty Betty, said: “Leeds remains a vital location for our brand, and we’re delighted to strengthen our partnership with Victoria Leeds as we move into a beautiful new store in Victoria Gate. We look forward to inviting our customers to experience our joyful new setting this holiday season.”

The news of Sweaty Betty’s relocation to Victoria Gate follows a series of new high-profile lettings at the Victoria Leeds development, including Finisterre, OMNES and Dinny Hall, reflecting Redical’s strategy of bringing the most exciting and innovative retail brands to the high street.
