Redical, owner of The Liberty Romford, and its development partner, HUB, are encouraging more feedback from the public as they prepare plans to evolve the centre.

On 17th July and 19th July, visitors to The Liberty will be able to speak to the team at a specially-created exhibition in the mall.  Situated adjacent to Starbucks, the exhibition will share early-stage design concepts, which include new homes, enhancements to the public realm, and the creation of a small quantity of new retail space.

This next stage will be the first time Romford residents will see initial concepts for how The Liberty could evolve, and the team wants to ensure local people have their say.  The exhibitions build on the consultation already undertaken by Redical and HUB, with the team having previously captured the public’s opinion via a survey promoted in the centre.

Stephen Daniels, Head of Asset Management and Regeneration at Redical, said:
"Redical is committed to The Liberty playing an active and positive contribution to Romford town centre for many years to come.  We believe our plans are a great way to achieve this, and will bring further economic and social benefit to Romford.  We are, however, very keen to understand residents’ views to ensure we deliver something we can all be proud of.”

Since purchasing The Liberty in 2022, Redical has committed £7 million to its transformation.  As well as improvements to the entrances, car parks and customer experience, several leading retailers have made their debuts in recent weeks, including MINISO, Lovisa and independent fashion brand, 80s Casual Classics.  They join Pret, Black Sheep Coffee, Rituals and Pandora in making a significant commitment to The Liberty in the last 12 months.
