Victoria Leeds, which is owned and operated by Redical, has announced that independent home décor store, northhome, will be significantly upsizing and relocating to Victoria Quarter’s County Arcade. Building on the success of its initial pop-up and subsequent debut site at the destination, northhome’s latest pledge marks the brand’s third upsize within the space of four years and highlights Victoria Leeds’ continued commitment to supporting and nurturing local businesses.

Set to open in October, northhome’s new store will trade across four floors measuring 4,230 sq ft, which is double the size of its previous store. This will enable the brand to expand its offering, meet consumer demand and deliver an elevated customer experience. Well-known for its timeless collection of Nordic inspired homeware pieces, northhome’s new showroom will continue to showcase its high-quality pieces of kitchen and tableware, its extensive range of soft furnishings and its larger furniture items, whilst also offering a new line of home fragrances, skincare and packaged food items. Working with a number of local producers including renowned local ceramicist Lee Simmonds and larger interior brands such as hkliving, House Doctor, and 101 Copenhagen, all pieces will be hand-picked by co-owner Kamil Wangin, and sit comfortably in the newly designed showroom which will display a clean, rustic, yet warm design allowing products to take centre stage.

Kamil Wangin, co-owner of  northhome, commented: “The opening of our significantly larger showroom will mark a milestone moment for northhome, which has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2020. With the support of Victoria Leeds, we have been able to consistently grow and develop our concept and are delighted to be continuing our journey at the destination with our elevated offering to customers.”

Rachel Bradburn, Leasing Director at Victoria Leeds, commented: “To play a role in the local success story that is northhome, having evolved from an initial pop-up in Victoria Leeds, to debuting its first permanent store and soon to unveil its much bigger, bolder and better showroom, has been an absolute pleasure! Supporting independent brands and local businesses remains crucial in our ongoing efforts to elevate the tenant mix and safeguard the line-up of authentic, innovative and leading brands at Victoria Leeds.”

This news of northhome’s upsize and relocation follows the recent announcement of British heritage and lifestyle brand, Barbour, unveiling the city’s first standalone store in Victoria Quarter later this year. The debut Barbour store will mark the brand’s first new ‘heritage’ retail shop outside of London and will showcase its heritage menswear and womenswear collections.
